Stuff to Do:

…for graphics classes are evil. That is all.

Lots of school work to do. I don’t mind it, but I get irritated when I ask a question and the instructor(s) respond with an answer that has no relation to the question asked. I try to restate it, making it more and more precise, and get still useless answers. This seems to be a trend at both of the upper-level schools I’ve attended.

I think this is due, in large part, to one of two things:

1) English is the instructor’s second language (2 of my professors, in this case–although they’re brilliant people, they’re hard to understand)

2) They think I’m such an idiot that they must guess at what I’m “REALLY” asking and try to answer that question instead.

Regardless of which it is, it irritates me.

It also irritates me that the TA for one of my classes is extremely picky. He’s pickier regarding answer format than the CS2110 TAs were. Is he smart? Sure. Does he try to show that to you? Yes. Irritating.

So yea, I’m still disappointed about my car. It’s frustrating and I can’t stop thinking about how IRRITATING (catch a theme here?) it is that I have to replace my wheels. This, of course, happens a month after my computer decides to spontaneously fry, causing me to purchase another one. Life’s just throwing the curve balls at me. I cannot WAIT to graduate from Georgia Tech. I’m going to run out and never look back. I’ll probably end up catching a MBA someplace, in a couple of years..or maybe a MSCS at Georgia Tech, if I can muster the will power to enter the classrooms again. It’s a great school but it sucks the joy out of life sometimes, as do other things.

C’est la vie.

car (CURSED CAR): i’d like to thank the city of atlanta for the huge, 2×2x1 foot pothole on tenth st, in front of the georgia tech graduate living center. if it weren’t for this wonderful lack of maintenance, i wouldn’t have to worry about my bbs rx wheel being warped. curses. well, it’s messed up pretty badly, and the other ones are curbed. i was going to deal with them until i graduated this december and replace them with 18 inch wheels instead (i have 17s). sadly, i think i’ll have to put the steel, factory pieces of junk on there for 10 months or so, until i graduate and can afford a new nifty set. $2000 is a lot for wheels and tires, sigh. that’s the way the cookie crumbles when you’re an amro, i suppose.

work: on a lighter note, work’s going well. i’m learning a lot about .net programming. hopefully i’ll be able to come out with a neat program or another here shortly. i still need to finish up cd/dvd burning support for ambackup, but since i’ve received no emails, donations, suggestions, thanks, etc. i haven’t been motivated. i spend most of my free time either hanging out with my wife (although she will not admit it) or playing counter strike.

school: i have to write a ray tracer from the ground up for my graphics class. o.m.g. i don’t really know where to start but i’ll get it done (it’s 14% of my grade, roughly…so i have to). term paper for ethics — bah. it shouldn’t be too bad, except there still aren’t guidelines for it, which frustrates me. the other assignments are just the weekly annoyances.

illness: sister has the flu, i fixed her computer today….i hope i don’t get sick.

“there is a raincloud over my head” — eeyore.
