In order of increasing “coolness”:

• UPS found my videocard and delivered it, unharmed. That’s REALLY cool (thanks to Twanda and Maureen at UPS and to Jacob and Joe at eVGA).
• Said videocard was operated on by yours truely and after a 1.45v voltmod to the core, a Zalman VF900, and some copper Ramsinks, it’s running happily at 700MHz/1.8GHz (core/mem) — it’s REALLY fast.
• I was offered (and accepted) a job at a sweet company that writes a VM/API combination to run xplatform software on embedded/handheld devices. I start in a week or so and I’m VERY excited. Thanks to their offer, Heather now owes me a nice Chinese dinner (well, as nice as take out can be, anyway).
• Since I will be working full-time over the summer, I’ll be able to pay for my tuition directly rather than relying on student loans for my last semester at tech (Heather’s excited that I can help with the bills again, but she knows I’ll be her “sugar-daddy” when I graduate, regardless).
• AmroCorp was founded today (yea not really, but maybe in 5-10 years…watch out NTI, Symantec..with your mediocre backup software)
