Birthday Dinner

Fun stuff.  Last night, a few of my family and friends took me out to dinner at Chili’s.  It was fun stuff and to top off the wonderful fajitas, Heather bought a molten chocolate cake for me, which I promptly inhaled.  After dinner, we went to my friend Drew’s house and played some poker — I was schooled, but that’s alright (Heather won, she says that’s an important detail).

Updated v3 final executable

I removed the “AMSoftware” reference and just stuck in “Amro Mousa” as AMSoftware seems to already exist as American Software…so yea. enjoy :).  It’s functionally the same.

Yea, so I hop on the lovely marta bus today to head into work. I am bored, tired, and standing as I turn around to look out the front window of the bus. There it is, right in front of me:

Yes, that’s right. Someone drove their huge SUV right into the front of the Dominos on the corner of 10th and Spring. I think my eyes popped out (it was like the first time I spent three days installing Gentoo on my server, then accidently deleted everything w/ rm — curse that extra space). Anyway, hope the silly bugger’s alright (the genius w/ the SUV), but I suppose they can look at it this way — they don’t have to waste gas anymore as they’ll be walking. :D

well, things are going pretty well.  another couple of pay checks and i’ll have enough saved up for my last semester at tech, which is great.  i’ve been working a standard work week and it’s been pretty cool as my boss is a nice guy and he just gives me stuff to do and i finish it, i’m left alone otherwise.

mom and dad are buying a house in michigan, which is nifty, except i think it’ll be a pretty big one (too big?).

the final version of backup3 is coming out soon as well, just some minor tweaks (lower memory usage when burning and maybe one or two other things).  if you have ideas or small things you want added, just shoot them my way via the comment form.

the joys of a 4 day weekend

This weekend will be great.  Heather and I saw Superman Returns and it was pretty good.  I’d see it again, other than the fact that it’s rediculously long.  Other than the bladder pain, it was definately a cool movie.  We’ve already visited my mom and brought Heather’s car down to Atlanta, which is cool…and now I just have to take care of a couple of things around the house prior to sitting down for some R&R.  Methinks I might even download AOL’s AIM SDK and throw together a basic AIM replacement (basically just msging, chat room and file transfer) w/ out all of the bulk.
