Grades are in and I received 2 A’s and 2 B’s (really should have been 3 A’s but whatever)! I think that puts me on the dean’s list for the semester (not that it matters at all).

So this past Saturday started out with my phone complaining, letting me know that it was time to wake up — 5:30 AM. I needed to get ready and pick my parents and sister up from their hotel (we avoided the parking nightmare this way). I got dressed in my graduation gear:

It was now time to line up in the tiny, humid, freshman gym attached to the back of Alexander Memorial Coliseum. After that (and an uncalled for Management Major joke by someone ahead of me in line), we walked onto the coliseum floor:

Meanwhile, Mom and Dad met buzz:

and I found a place to sit. I was pretty nervous (not sure why), but mostly excited. I walked up,

shook hands with President Clough and went on my merry way. After the ceremony, it was time for me to open my

, which included a bunch of neat stuff (cards, money [woot!], etc.) and these three fine gems:

Woot? I think so. What you see, my friends, is a very expensive diploma frame (thanks mom and dad v2), tickets to the Nickleback concert (thanks Heather) in March and my very own Alumni plate (thanks Ramy). Check, check and check. This, coupled with a home baked cake (thanks Heather!) and dinner at Fogo de Chao (thanks mom and dad) made for a very happy (and sick — way too much fillet min yon, lamb, meat in general) Amro. I need some sleep as it was too much excitement for a single weekend, even for me. This graduating thing is kind of fun (might be worth it to pursue another degree to do it again :D).

EDIT: Pics removed b/c the gallery died, just see the album there.

I just finished my last (brutal) final.  I’ll graduate on Saturday. :D

So I just finished my Software Engineering final and it went really well.  I just need to make it through my Algorithms/Theory final and I’m good to go (except for finishing up my capstone project tonight).

I win.
