Wow.  It’s been a very stressful week.  Our mortgage co. had a difficult time verifying my employment (basically, they wanted my employer’s number on some sort of public directory — sort of silly for a web company), which almost broke the deal on the house.  Thankfully, my boss Jeff came through and found a work around for the mess, meaning we were able to buy the house and move in.   The weekend flew by as we were incredibly busy (and still are) due to moving, unpacking, trips all over the place to get this and that forgotten item from random store -r- us, etc.  Then, the cable/internet wasn’t setup, so we had to wait until they came out today, only to find they couldn’t run the outlet and want us to hire an electrician instead, so I’m going to deal with that Friday…etc.  It’s just been hectic all around.

Thankfully, my parents, younger sister, and two of our very good friends (Drew and Mandy) helped us haul our stuff over to our new house.  I don’t think we would have been able to do it without them, given the situation with my hernia (I was fine loading up the truck but about half way unto unloading, I was having some pain/discomfort so I took that as a sign that I should stop lifting heavy objects.

Anyway, all’s well and we’re almost unpacked — we just need to pickup a few small things, put together a desk so I can work, etc., from home, wait on the washer and dryer to be delivered, etc.
